Fingerprint Pendants Explained

There is something profoundly personal about a fingerprint - it is a unique impression that belongs to one person alone.

Our Signia Collection was created to capture that individuality and preserve it forever in precious metal. It is designed to preserve the unique fingerprint, palm print, or footprint of someone you love in a beautifully handcrafted piece of fine jewellery.Ā

Whether it's a child, partner, family member, or someone you wish to remember forever, each piece becomes a deeply personal keepsake and tells a story that words simply cannot.

Step 1 - Capture the print.

To begin, we need an impression of the fingerprint, palm print, or footprint.

We offer two options, a Wax Impression Kit – our preferred method due to the minutae detail that can be captured.Ā  Simply press the finger, palm, or heel into the soft wax, and roll out to create a surface as flat as possible.Ā  The key here is to roll the finger out so the putty is left as flat as can be.Ā

Every delicate detail is recorded with remarkable precision.Ā  If a wax impression isn't possible, an ink print is an excellent alternative. This is our backup if there is limited time or resources to obtain a print of a loved one before it may be too late.Ā  Press the finger or palm onto an ink pad and then onto plain white paper. Email the image to us, and our team will carefully vectorise the print before transforming it into your jewellery.

Every ridge, curve and detail is carefully preserved, transforming a simple fingerprint into a timeless heirloom that can be worn every day.

Each piece is handcrafted to honour the person it represents.

Step 2 - Handcrafting the piece.

Once we receive your print, our Jewellers begin creating your Signia piece.

The original print is first sculpted into a wax model before being traditionally cast into solid gold using your chosen alloy.

We offer 9k or 18k in Yellow, Rose or White Gold alloys. And Our Signia pendants are available in two sizes:

Mini: Approximately 13 x11mm.Ā  Classic: Approximately 17x15mm

For families, we can also create Multi-Print Pendants, featuring up to four individual prints on a single side.

You may also choose Double-Sided Pendants with one print on each side.Ā  Or Double-sided multi-print designs where you can have up to 4 prints total - a swivel bail is optional with this too.

Personalise Your Signia piece making it even more meaningful with optional customisations, including Initials, Names, special dates, words or meaningful phrases - think ā€œto the moon and backā€.Ā  Birthstones, Diamond or gemstone pavĆ© settings on the bail for added brilliance.

The Signia process isn't limited to pendants.

We can also incorporate fingerprints into Signet rings, Classic bands or even the inside of a Wedding band (for a hidden personal touch).

Whether featured prominently or discreetly concealed, every print is handcrafted with the same level of precision and care.

Because every Signia piece is individually handcrafted, production typically takes six to eight weeks from the time we receive your print.

For special occasions or time-sensitive memorial pieces, expedited production may also be available.

While every piece takes time to create, we believe meaningful jewellery should never be rushed. The care invested in every stage of the process ensures your finished piece is worthy of becoming a treasured family heirloom.

A Signia piece is more than fine jewellery. It is a celebration of connection, a tribute to love, and a tangible reminder that the people who matter most are never far away.

Crafted with intention. Made to last. Designed to carry a story that is uniquely yours.
